The Lord Dufferin Library is the hub of our school, providing engaging reading material for students of all ages. The Library is open before school every day from 8:15-8:40am, for reading, signing out books and playing quiet games.
Our Librarian, Ms. Weis, is constantly adding new books to our collection, so make sure to come by and check out the amazing LD Library! She has also created a new Library Blog so that everyone can keep up to date on what is happening in our Library.
Another amazing resource for TDSB students is the Virtual Library. You can search the Library Catalogue to find out what books we have in our school Library. Another incredible feature is the Online Databases. Many of these databases are available for free to TDSB students, and we will feature a new database every month on this page.
For September, the featured Database is PebbleGO. PebbleGO provides information about Science and Social Studies. The entire website is written in student-friendly language, and allows for students to have the text read to them, if the require. PebbleGO features non-fiction texts about animals, earth and space, the environment, communities and history.
Visit the Lord Dufferin Virtual Library and click on "Online Databases."
Then click on PebbleGO and "Okay."
